“Family Care-Group Support Program”

Family Care-Group Support Program is a free and confidential support group service available to help family caregivers and professional caregivers take care of their loved ones. The Care-Group will provide assistance and learning experience in regards to Alzheimer’s care or related disease.

“Hear and Understand Better”

By; Dr. Mimi Salamat, Clinical Audiologist and Tinnitus Specialist

ADG Referral Services Inc, in partnership with Dr. Mimi’s Audilogy Clinic, is excited to offer a FREE Educational Class on “Hear and Understand Better” to be presented by Dr. Mimi herself, an accomplished audiologist who is passionate about helping hard of hearing people. Dr. Mimi Salamat holds a Ph.D in Audiology with a minor in counseling. She also has two Master’s degrees, one in Speech-Language Pathology and in Audiology. Throughout her professional career, Dr. Mimi has trained many audiologists and take care of numerous patients with hearing, tinnitus, and balance disorders by prescribing hearing aids, auditory training, and rehabilitation techniques.

During Dr. Mimi’s presentation, she will cover topics on how to hear and understand better, and will give helpful communication tips for the health care professionals, as well as, family and friends of hard of hearing people. Don’t miss out on this free educational class! Complimentary beverages will be served.

“Senior Health & Wellness Resource Fair”

ADG is excited to be a sponsor and a part of Hayward Area Recreation and Park District’s 6th Annual Senior Health and Wellness Resource Fair.  May is “Older Americans” month! The 2012 theme for Older American Month is “Never Too Old To Play!” This exciting and engaging event is full of resources, valuable information, and entertainment for seniors and families.

“What To Do With Mom and Dad?”

On September 14, 2011, the president of ADG Referral Services, Inc., Ava De Guzman, was privileged to speak to a group of seniors and families on behalf of the Pleasant Hill Senior Center. Ava De Guzman thoroughly covered different areas of home-care topics that are beneficial for seniors including “Options When Placement Becomes Necessary”. The class was full of engaging attendees that came ready to learn. The open-forum was indeed a huge success!

On July 1st, ADG hosted a fun and entertaining FREE senior event held at Diamond Terrace. Over a hundred senior attendees came to help celebrate 4th of July! The event included many exhibit booths from various sponsors that were useful and educational. An open dance floor was enjoyed by many who love the 50′s and 60′s classic hit songs. The Uncle Sam back-drop Photo booth and raffle prizes were a huge hit! The event served FREE food and refreshments. All attendees, guests, and staff had an amazing time!

“FREE Art Class for Seniors!”

ADG hosted this free art class for art lovers to enjoy. The class was taught how to apply basic drawing skills, covering work in pencil, crayon, charcoal, pen and ink. At this event, seniors had the opportunity to create a caricature of their own face using the techniques they have learned from the artist.

“Laugh, Love and Learn”

ADG participated in this event full of entertainment, humor and education packed into a fun and inspiring day. The event also included a continental breakfast, lunch, door prizes, raffles and giveaways. This event is held every year. ADG staff had a blast! We hope to see you there next year!

“Aging Loved Ones” A Free Forum for Seniors and Their Loved Ones

ADG hosted this event which was held at the Concord Senior Center with three brilliant guest speakers who presented informative topics on Public Transportation, Finances, Realty Difficulties that were beneficial to seniors and their loved ones. Furthermore, the event was entertaining and fun as raffle prizes were given away! ADG Senior Event has totally rendered enjoyable and useful information for people of all ages.
